In Thursday's league game, the host New Caney Eagles baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Cleveland Indians.
The Eagles (8-15) will now prepare for their game against College Park (The Woodlands, TX). The Cavaliers go into the 6A Region II District 13 game with a 10-10 record. In their last game, College Park was tipped by Jordan (Fulshear, TX), 9-8, in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Indians confront the Conroe Tigers (Conroe, TX) in a 6A Region II District 13 contest, on Tuesday, April 22. Cleveland will attempt to move on its 9-17 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 17-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX).
