The Franklin Lions triumphed over the visiting Little River Academy Bumblebees baseball squad by a score of 8-2 in Thursday's league outing.
Next up, the Lions battle the East Bernard Brahmas (East Bernard, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 22. Franklin will attempt to move on its 22-3 season record. The Brahmas come into the match with a 24-2 record after their 18-3 league win over Brazos (Wallis, TX).
The Bumblebees now possess a 15-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thrall for a 3A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 22. Little River Academy will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Rockdale (Rockdale, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 25-5.
