The Willow Spring Storm baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Garner Trojans to 1 in the Storm league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Willow Spring advances its record to 8-8 on the season. The Storm host Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to battle the Pirates in a Greater Neuse River 4A match on Tuesday, April 22. The Pirates come into the match with a record of 17-3. Corinth Holders won 7-6 in their recent non-league match against Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC)
The Trojans now have a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cleveland for a Greater Neuse River 4A match on Tuesday, April 22. Garner will battle a Rams squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over Wake County HomeSchool (Raleigh, NC). The Rams record now stands at 12-7.
