The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the visiting Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX), saw Olton's baseball team gain a win over Hale Center by a tally of 8-6.

The Mustangs (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Abernathy (Abernathy, TX). The Antelopes enter the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Abernathy by Ralls (Ralls, TX), 15-7, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Hale Center drops to 5-14 on the year. The Owls travel to New Deal (New Deal, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 2A Region I District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 14-2. New Deal won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Sudan (Sudan, TX)
