The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Hazelwood East Spartans (St. Louis, MO) and the visiting McCluer Comets (Florissant, MO), witnessed Hazelwood East's baseball team knock off McCluer by a count of 10-8.
The Spartans now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jennings for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 21. Hazelwood East will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 23-2 non-league loss to STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley (Ferguson, MO). The Warriors record now stands at 0-9.
With the defeat, McCluer drops to 2-2 on the year. The Comets host Roosevelt (St. Louis, MO) to clash with the Roughriders in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 18. The Roughriders go into the challenge with a record of 0-2.
