In Thursday's league bout, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC), by a tally of 11-1.
Next up, the Red Tornadoes encounter the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 21. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 13-8 record after their 10-4 league win over Newton-Conover (Newton, NC).
The Greyhounds (1-12) will now prepare for their bout against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights enter the Western Foothills 3A bout with a 11-8 record. In their last bout, North Lincoln achieved victory over Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY), 13-0, in a non-league bout.
