In Thursday's non-league game, the host Lipan Indians baseball team scored a close 9-8 win over the Hico Tigers.

The Indians (16-5) will now prepare for their game against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs go into the 2A Region II District 13 game with a 12-6 record.

Next, the Tigers play the Santo Wildcats (Santo, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 22. Hico will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 5-11 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Bluff Dale (Bluff Dale, TX).
