The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) baseball the visiting Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), 7-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Chieftains now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host St. Raphael Academy for a Division 2 challenge on Monday, April 21. Ponaganset will clash with a Saints team coming off a 13-3 league win over Central (Providence, RI). The Saints record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Johnston drops to 0-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI) to clash with the Chargers in a Division 2 challenge on Monday, April 21. The Chargers go into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Chariho lost 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Westerly (Westerly, RI)
