The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) and the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), saw Kirtland Central's baseball team gain a win over Miyamura by a tally of 14-1.
The Broncos (11-12) will now prepare for their battle against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Chieftains enter the 4A District 1 battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Shiprock was overwhelmed by Aztec (Aztec, NM), 16-5, in a league battle.
Next, the Patriots face the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 battle, on Saturday, April 19. Miyamura will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Bengals enter the battle with a 4-15 record after their 13-3 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM).
