The Markesan Hornets baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Rio Vikings to 4 in the Hornets non-league win on Thursday.
The Hornets now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fall River for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22.
With the defeat, Rio drops to 0-3 on the year. The Vikings host Green Lake/Princeton (Green Lake, WI) to play the Tigersharks in a Trailways-North test on Tuesday, April 22. The Tigersharks go into the test with a record of 2-4. Green Lake/Princeton won 10-3 in their recent league test against Pardeeville (Pardeeville, WI)
