The Verona Wildcats baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Middleton Cardinals to 2 in the Wildcats league win on Thursday.
The Wildcats now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Janesville Craig for a Big Eight test on Saturday, April 19. Verona will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 21-4 league win over Madison East (Madison, WI). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.
With the defeat, Middleton drops to 5-4 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Watertown (Watertown, WI) to clash with the Goslings in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Goslings go into the test with a record of 5-2. Watertown won 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI)
