North Carolina High School Baseball - Porter Ridge edges Sun Valley

The Porter Ridge Pirates baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Sun Valley Spartans to 7 in the Pirates league win on Thursday.

The Pirates now hold a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carolina Forest for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22. Porter Ridge will play a Panthers team coming off a 4-2 league win over Conway (Conway, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 13-7.

With the defeat, Sun Valley drops to 10-11 on the year. The Spartans host Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC) to play the Lions in a non-league test on Monday, April 21.
