Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Bishop Diego Cardinals (Santa Barbara, CA) and the visiting Cate Rams (Carpinteria, CA), observed Bishop Diego's volleyball team hold off Cate by a count of 3-2.

The Cardinals (19-11) will now prepare for their contest against Laguna Blanca (Santa Barbara, CA). The Owls enter the Tri-Valley contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Laguna Blanca was tipped by Foothill Tech (Ventura, CA), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Rams battle the Carpinteria Warriors (Carpinteria, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 18. Cate will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record.
