The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) and the visiting Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE), saw Grand Island's baseball team gain a win over Lincoln Southwest by a tally of 11-2.

The Islanders (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Columbus (Columbus, NE). The Discoverers enter the non-league battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Columbus was overwhelmed by Norfolk (Norfolk, NE), 5-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Silver Hawks face the Millard South Patriots (Omaha, NE) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 23. Lincoln Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
