West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 2-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, West Carteret advances its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Patriots host Richlands (Richlands, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a Coastal 3A test on Tuesday, April 29. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 9-8.

The Cougars now have a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Havelock for a non-league test on Thursday, April 24.
