Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Starmount moves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Rams host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to meet the Sauras in a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, April 22. The Sauras come into the test with a record of 8-5.

The Buckin' Elks now sport a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A test on Tuesday, April 22. Elkin will meet a Granite Bears team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 1-10.
