In Thursday's league match, the host Geneva Eagles softball team scored a tight 8-1 win over the Madison Blue Streaks.
The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their match against Berkshire (Burton, OH). The Badgers come into the non-league match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Berkshire nipped Mayfield (Mayfield, OH), 14-13, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Blue Streaks battle the Perry Pirates (Perry, OH) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 24. Madison will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Pirates come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 15-4 league loss to Geneva (Geneva, OH).
