In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Lebanon Pioneers softball team scored a tight 6-0 win over the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.
The Pioneers (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Indians come into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Rural Retreat was routed by Marion (Marion, VA), 8-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Scarlet Hurricanes confront the Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) in a match, on Tuesday, April 22. Marion will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record.
