The Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) lacrosse nudged the host Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA), 8-7 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Patriots now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fredericksburg Academy for a VISAA Division 3 outing on Tuesday, April 29.
With the loss, Steward falls to 0-7 on the year. The Spartans host Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA) to face the Mighty Oaks in a Tidewater Independent outing on Thursday, April 24. The Mighty Oaks go into the outing with a record of 4-6.
