Alabama High School Softball - Houston County succumbs to Ariton

In Thursday's non-league test, the Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL), by a tally of 18-0.

Next, the Purple Cats clash with the Kinston Bulldogs (Kinston, AL) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 21. Ariton will attempt to advance on its 17-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 27-7 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Ponce De Leon (Ponce De Leon, FL).

The Lions (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Geneva County (Hartford, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 16-12 record. In their last test, Geneva County prevailed over Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL), 7-6, in a league test.
