The Smackover Buckaroos triumphed over the host Drew Central Pirates softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Buckaroos play the Harmony Grove Hornets (Camden, AR) in a 3A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, April 18. Smackover will attempt to upgrade on its 13-1 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 12-6 league loss to Genoa Central (Texarkana, AR).
The Pirates (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Hampton (Hampton, AR). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Hampton was routed by Junction City (Junction City, AR), 5-2, in a league challenge.
