In Thursday's non-league match, the host Henderson County Colonels softball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Owensboro Red Devils.
The Colonels (15-1) will now prepare for their match against Webster County (Dixon, KY). The Trojans go into the District 6 match with a 7-10 record. In their last match, Webster County tipped Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY), 15-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 18. Owensboro will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 7-8 record after their 10-1 league win over Butler County (Morgantown, KY).
