The Matoaca Warriors softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Hopewell Blue Devils to 0 in the Warriors league win on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monacan for a non-league battle on Monday, April 21. Matoaca will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 12-0 league win over L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Hopewell moves to 1-5 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA) to confront the Generals in a Central battle on Friday, April 18. The Generals come into the battle with a record of 3-2. Dinwiddie won 22-0 in their recent league battle against Petersburg (Petersburg, VA)
