Ohio High School Softball - Martins Ferry bounces St. Clairsville

The Martins Ferry Purple Riders softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting St. Clairsville Red Devils to 1 in the Purple Riders league win on Thursday.

The Purple Riders now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barnesville for a non-league battle on Friday, April 18. Martins Ferry will confront a Shamrocks team coming off a 11-4 non-league win over Cambridge (Cambridge, OH). The Shamrocks record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, St. Clairsville moves to 1-14 on the season. The Red devils travel to Cambridge (Cambridge, OH) to confront the Bobcats in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAAA battle on Friday, April 18. The Bobcats come into the battle with a record of 3-8. Cambridge lost 11-4 in their recent non-league battle against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)
