West Virginia High School Softball - Nicholas County defeated by Ripley

The Nicholas County Grizzlies softball squad (Summersville, WV), was routed 10-2 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV)

With the triumph, Ripley improves its record to 3-11 on the year. The Vikings host Riverside (Belle, WV) to face the Warriors in a non-league contest on Friday, April 18. The Warriors enter the contest with a record of 12-6. Riverside won 12-4 in their recent league contest against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV)

The Grizzlies now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ritchie County for a non-league contest on Saturday, April 19. Nicholas County will face a Rebels squad coming off a 19-13 league win over Williamstown (Williamstown, WV). The Rebels record now stands at 10-2.
