Illinois High School Softball - Woodland defeated by Putnam County

The Woodland Warriors softball squad (Streator, IL), was routed 13-1 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL)

With the triumph, Putnam County improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Eureka (Eureka, IL) to face the Hornets in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 19. The Hornets enter the contest with a record of 3-9. Eureka won 6-5 in their recent league contest against Lexington (Lexington, IL)

The Warriors now hold a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Seneca for a Tri-County contest on Monday, April 21. Woodland will face a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Newark (Newark, IL). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 14-0.
