In Thursday's league match, the host West Valley Rams softball squad scored a close 9-7 triumph over the Sunnyside Grizzlies.
With the triumph, West Valley improves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Rams host Kittitas (Kittitas, WA) to face the Coyotes in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 24. The Coyotes enter the contest with a record of 10-3. Kittitas lost 6-5 in their recent non-league contest against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA)
The Grizzlies now hold a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Eastmont for a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 contest on Friday, April 25. Sunnyside will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-1 league win over West Valley (Yakima, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-5.
