North Carolina High School Baseball - South Stokes defeats Bishop McGuinness

April 17, 2026: Walnut Cove, NC 27052

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC), saw South Stokes's baseball team gain a win over Bishop McGuinness by a tally of 9-1.

The Sauras (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, South Davidson was overwhelmed by North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 11-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Villains face the Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC) in a Greater Triad 1A/2A battle, on Tuesday, April 21. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 9-8 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC).
