In Friday's non-league game, the host Decatur Eagles baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Eagle Mountain Knights.

The Eagles (23-5) will now prepare for their game against Springtown (Springtown, TX). The Porcupines go into the 4A Region I District 7 game with a 20-5 record. In their last game, Springtown nudged Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX), 8-0, in a league game.
