In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Payne Tech Lions baseball team scored a nice 12-1 victory over the Newark Central Blue Devils.
The Lions (6-4) will now prepare for their game against East Side (Newark, NJ). The Red Raiders enter the non-league game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, East Side defeated Newark Tech (Newark, NJ), 4-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Blue Devils face the Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 18. Newark Central will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Somerville (Somerville, NJ).
