The East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 10-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host West Stokes for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 21. East Surry will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 14-8 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-8.

With the defeat, Surry Central drops to 9-5 on the year. The Golden eagles host McMichael (Mayodan, NC) to clash with the Phoenix in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 18. The Phoenix go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. McMichael lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Morehead (Eden, NC)
