North Carolina High School Softball - Laney tipped by Topsail

The Topsail Pirates the visiting Laney Buccaneers softball squad by a count of 3-1 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A challenge, on Tuesday, April 21. Topsail will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Vikings go into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 13-4 non-league win over Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC).

The Buccaneers (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers go into the non-league challenge with a 2-14 record.
