North Carolina High School Softball - Pine Forest drops to Pinecrest

The Pine Forest Trojans softball squad (Fayetteville, NC), was routed 17-3 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC)

With the triumph, Pinecrest improves its record to 7-8 on the year. The Patriots host E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Golden Bulls in a non-league contest on Monday, April 20. The Golden Bulls enter the contest with a record of 0-10. E.E. Smith lost 26-17 in their recent league contest against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC)

The Trojans now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Jack Britt for a Mid-South 7A/8A contest on Tuesday, April 21. Pine Forest will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 16-5 league win over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-14.
