The Carlsbad Cavemen softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Clovis Wildcats to 0 in the Cavemen league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Carlsbad improves its record to 18-0 on the year. The Cavemen travel to Hobbs (Hobbs, NM) to clash with the Eagles in a 5A District 4 game on Tuesday, April 19. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 14-4. Hobbs won 9-8 in their recent league game against Roswell (Roswell, NM)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM) in a 5A District 4 game, on Tuesday, April 19. Clovis will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Coyotes come into the game with a 10-8 record after their 9-8 league loss to Hobbs (Hobbs, NM).
