The Horseshoe Bend Generals softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Central of Coosa County Cougars to 0 in the Generals non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Horseshoe Bend improves its record to 13-11 on the year. The Generals host LaFayette (LaFayette, AL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 8 game on Monday, April 18. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 0-2. LaFayette lost 15-0 in their recent league game against Randolph County (Wedowee, AL)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Verbena Red Devils (Verbena, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 19. Central of Coosa County will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Red Devils come into the game with a 15-7 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Vincent (Vincent, AL).
