Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Marion Warriors (Marion, KS), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Braves now sport a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Chase County for a Flint Hills challenge on Friday, April 22. Council Grove will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 27-12 non-league win over Northern Heights (Allen, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Marion falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Sterling (Sterling, KS) to face the Black Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Sterling won 21-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Inman (Inman, KS)
