The Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) softball triumphed over the visiting Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), 7-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loyd Star for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Florence will face a Hornets squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 20-4.
With the loss, Wesson falls to 15-4 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to Franklin County (Meadville, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
