The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL) and the host Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), saw Rockridge's softball squad nip Geneseo by a count of 8-4.

The Rockets now sport a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Bede for a Three Rivers match on Thursday, April 21. Rockridge will face a Bruins squad coming off a 11-5 league loss to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Bruins record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Geneseo falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Maple leafs travel to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to face the Silver Streaks in a Western Big 6 match on Tuesday, April 19. The Silver Streaks enter the match with a record of 2-9. Galesburg lost 11-4 in their recent league match against East Moline United (East Moline, IL)
