Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) and the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), saw Mount Airy's baseball squad edge Elkin by a count of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Granite Bears play the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 19. Mount Airy will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Greyhounds enter the battle with a 8-9 record after their 11-4 league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC).

The Buckin' Elks now possess a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Wilkes for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 19.
