In Tuesday's league game, the visiting Lawson Cardinals baseball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the Lathrop Mules.
The Cardinals (12-3) will now prepare for their game against Penney (Hamilton, MO). The Hornets go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record.
The Mules (3-7) will now prepare for their game against East Buchanan (Gower, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 10-1 record. In their last game, East Buchanan tipped King City (King City, MO), 12-2, in a non-league game.
