In Tuesday's non-league game, the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) soccer squad overwhelmed the host McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), by a final score of 9-0.

The Cougars (11-1) will now prepare for their game against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Camels go into the Mid-State 3A game with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Atkins topped Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC), 9-0, in a league challenge.

The Phoenix now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host West Stokes for a Mid-State 2A challenge on Thursday, April 20. McMichael will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 league win over Morehead (Eden, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-3.
