South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 20-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a test on Friday, April 21. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 13-4. Alexander Central won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC)

With the defeat, Freedom falls to 4-9 on the season. The Patriots travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to battle the Huskies in a non-league test on Friday, April 21. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 10-5. Ashe County lost 12-8 in their recent non-league test against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
