The Giles Spartans baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting George Wythe Maroons to 14 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans (8-3) will now prepare for their match against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Fort Chiswell edged Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA), 8-7, in a non-league match.
The Maroons (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Auburn (Riner, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Auburn was edged by Galax (Galax, VA), 24-11, in a non-league match.
