Dobson Mustangs (Mesa, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Skyline Coyotes (Mesa, AZ), 19-16 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a challenge on Friday, April 21. Dobson will battle a Toros squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Toros record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Skyline falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Westwood (Mesa, AZ) to battle the Warriors in a challenge on Friday, April 21. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Westwood lost 19-1 in their recent league challenge against Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ)
