Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mira Mesa Marauders (San Diego, CA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Pointers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Diego for a challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Point Loma will battle a Cavers squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Madison (San Diego, CA). The Cavers record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Mira Mesa falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Lincoln (San Diego, CA) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Lincoln lost 11-10 in their recent league challenge against Kearny (San Diego, CA)
