Virginia High School Soccer - Glenvar knocks off Alleghany

Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 9-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Highlanders confront the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 20. Glenvar will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Northside (Roanoke, VA).
The Mountaineers now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carroll County for a Three Rivers challenge on Thursday, April 20. Alleghany will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-3 league loss to James River (Buchanan, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-4.
