Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host East Moline United for a Western Big 6 challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Alleman will face a Panthers squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Moline (Moline, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Galesburg falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Silver streaks host Rock Island (Rock Island, IL) to face the Rocks in a Western Big 6 challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Rocks enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Rock Island won 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Orion (Orion, IL)
