Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Warren East Raiders (Bowling Green, KY), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they host Clinton County for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. Barren County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Warren East falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Raiders host Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-11. Franklin-Simpson won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Todd County Central (Elkton, KY)
