Bay Port Pirates (Green Bay, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Manitowoc Lincoln Ships (Manitowoc, WI), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Green Bay Preble for a Fox River Classic challenge on Thursday, April 20. Bay Port will face a Hornets squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Green Bay Southwest (Green Bay, WI). The Hornets record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Manitowoc Lincoln falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Ships travel to Pulaski (Milwaukee, WI) to face the Rams in a Fox River Classic challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Pulaski won 21-0 in their recent league challenge against Sheboygan South (Sheboygan, WI)
