Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oneonta Redskins (Oneonta, AL), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. Cherokee County will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Oneonta moves to 15-9 on the season. The Redskins travel to Locust Fork (Locust Fork, AL) to meet the Hornets in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 25. The Hornets go into the match with a record of 3-3. Locust Fork won 6-4 in their recent non-league match against West End (Walnut Grove, AL)
